Pamela Fandrich

Pamela Fandrich was born and raised on a small country farm outside the town of Beulah, in western North Dakota. Pam is a self taught artist. Her family encouraged her to draw as a child. The painting began at age 8 when she got into

her Mom’s oil paints one day. Her early works started out with the love of the outdoors, horses, wildlife and Native American paintings, which she still enjoys painting today.

In 1988 she began flying for an international airline which allowed for more time to paint, and also the opportunity to experience and study many different cultures and subjects. Many of her works are inspired by her international travels abroad.

One of her favorite and frequent destinations being Hawaii, much of her work is inspired by these islands.

In 2001 Pam started her own business painting on canvas, murals and web site development. She started by creating murals for six model home companies and showing paintings in galleries in North Dakota and Arizona, participating in and

winning awards at art events. Much of her work these days is commission projects and is scattered throughout the world.

Oil is her primary medium but she also uses acrylic paint occasionally. Typically she prefers to put three to seven coats of paint on her canvas (using a technique many of the old masters used), and thus has quite a few projects working at one time. She loves to try new colors and subjects.

“I’m constantly taking photos everywhere I travel, for each place has it’s own beauty. When I get home from my travels I feel inspired and can’t wait to create a new piece.

I feel God has blessed me...I have found something I enjoy so much, that it enables me to lose myself in the moment.”
