Artist from Kauai , situated in Fort Worth Texas, is following her dream ....
\It is a wonderful feeling when one’s work actually reflects one’s passion. For many of us this is rare. Leslie Tribolet is an artist and has lived and faced adversity with grace and bravery. As a two time cancer survivor Leslie decided to jump back into painting.
No more surfers after living in Hawaii before Texas for 12.5 yrs., but this time something that reflected where she lives NOW - Texas.
What better subjects to paint then cattle?
“I have never painted animals before, so I was thrilled and excited when my first cow turned out to be pretty decent!” She has gone on to paint cows, steers, babies and bulls and has had to learn the difference between all of them.
Before painting her first big bull, she put his photo in Photoshop and removed his “manhood”.
Guess that was a big mistake as she has since been schooled by the ranchers and others to not to that anymore! Guess this is something they are very proud of “The bigger the better!”
Leslie is developing a decent portfolio of these “critters” and can’t wait to finish the one currently on the art table to move onto the next.
Her work is now displayed in the wonderful “Adobe Western Art Gallery” down at the Stockyards in Fort Worth and two more stores are waiting for some originals to go up as well. Her next painting will be of “Bushwhacker” who is a famous rodeo bull who was the #1 bull in the country – maybe the world with the consent and thrill of his owners.
Besides this passion she is very well known for her people paintings, portraits or captured in a everyday life and there reflection ...
As a very happy person in what she is doing, she cannot wait to show her style and newest work to everybody ...
